Where it all started, Captivate Run Club! The first time we officially met. Carter had his eye on me from this day forward (without my knowledge).

This photo was taken in July when a solo beach day became accompanied by our friend Kevin and his friends (of course Carter made an appearance) and represents exactly where my head was at, clueless LOL! And yes, that is Carter putting his stuff right next to me.

Starting in May, we ran next to each other in the front of the group every Monday, talking about our days, weeks and A LOT about the Padres. I still had no idea he liked me, but he knew what he was doing.

As you may notice, this is NOT Carter and I. This is Kevin & Hannah. Kevin is responsible for the run club, the beach day and so much more (the ultimate wing man). This was taken the night that Carter asked if he could pick me up for a run club event and with a little encouragement from Hannah, on the way to drop me back off at my apartment he asked me on a date (I said Yes).

This is a photo from one of many little "not dates" before our first date. Other photos featured could include his first yogurt mill experience, a track workout or our long walks on the bay with the dogs (for them obviously).

Our first date (finally)! Carter had flowers at my door, and surprised me with a date to the batting cages (where I definitely whooped him, apparently this was intended, however I did think he'd be a little better). We finished our day by a walk on the bay, dinner at Cannonball sushi, grabbing a drink while the Padres finished beating the Dodgers, and then another long walk to get ice cream!

One week later I was a girlfriend! He made me a bouquet, like actually made it. With stems of different flowers and a deconstructed Trader Joe's bag as the brown paper. It was adorable and I almost had a heart attack of excitement thinking that this was the first step of this man being mine forever.

A little date day that included a coffee & Bible study (my fav). We also went and looked at engagement rings this day... 1.5 months in. I'm telling you, when you know you know.

Family photos! Carter's in them so soon? It must be serious ;) From the beginning everyone knew he would be the one.

A sweet trip to meet (some of) the future family! Days full of coffee runs, crossfit, exploring the barn, hunting, Christmas lights, Bucees and card games! The most relaxing and joyful trip to Texas. So much quality time, it was the BEST!

The proposal! I can't say I didn't know it was coming but I wasn't 100% sure it was this day. A little hike down to the most perfect spot he had scouted out at the Torrey Pines Glider Port months ago. I may have interrupted him mid speech to throw my purse but I can't help the photographer in me. I said yes, and then double checked with him that I said yes because I was so excited I wasn't sure if I blacked out lol. Shoutout to Hailey and Ella for hiding in the bushes and capturing all of these sweet moments!

There are so many photos I could add here. The proposal was followed by the sweetest engagement party full of people who we love and who have invested so much into both Carter and I. We are so thankful for our community and cannot wait to celebrate what the Lord has done on July 11th!
